KATHMANDU: In Dhankuta, a Bolero vehicle carrying 10 passengers fell approximately 90 meters down a cliff. The incident occurred at Phoklen Tapu in Ward No-6 of Dhankuta Municipality. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Shyam Singh Chaudhary, the vehicle, with registration number Ko 1 Ja 2137, was traveling from Umling, Sankhuwasabha to Itahari when it experienced brake failure.
The vehicle had been taken to a repair center after encountering brake problems. While parked, it overturned and fell off the cliff. Two children sustained minor injuries and have been treated and sent home from the district hospital. The remaining passengers and driver were not reported to be seriously injured.
