KATHMANDU: Two people in Kavre have passed away from serious injuries they received in two different accidents that happened on Sunday. The two victims, according to the District Police Office Dhulikhel, were an old individual involved in a motorcycle accident and a worker who received an electric shock.
Sabin Chaudhary, a 20-year-old employee from Saptari's Agnisair Krishnasavaran Municipality-1, was involved in the initial event. At the Nepal Police Academy building in Panauti Municipality-6, which is now under construction, Chaudhary was electrocuted while pouring concrete. He was taken to Dhulikhel Hospital immediately for treatment, but he died from his wounds.
In Dhalmale, Panauti Municipality-5, there was another occurrence where a motorcycle accident on the Banepa-Panauti road portion resulted in serious injuries for Kaji Bahadur Gurung, age 63. Gurung suffered serious injuries to his head and legs after being hit by a motorcycle. After being brought to Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu, he died later that evening.
The motorbike, registered Pra 3-02-013 Pa 0751, was en route from Banepa to Panauti. Minor injuries were suffered by the passenger, 16-year-old Riyan Pradhan, and the cyclist, 17-year-old Saurabh Shrestha. To ascertain the reasons behind these mishaps and their circumstances, the authorities are looking into both events.
