KATHMANDU: In response to being removed from his roles as general secretary and ordinary member, Dr. Mukul Dhakal filed an appeal with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). In Dhakal's opinion, the judiciary should reverse the decision made by the RSP, which he calls the "Rabi Lamichhane Club," because they are not authorized to remove him. Avowing that he has misled the public and interfered with the legal system, he has requested RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane to step down for moral reasons.
Dhakal criticized Lamichhane on Facebook for supposedly spreading false information about a cooperative controversy. Dhakal said that Lamichhane's actions were an attempt to undermine the judiciary. He doubted Lamichhane's moral character and said it would take time to reveal the true extent of his moral decline.
Dhakal was previously removed by the RSP Central Committee from his roles as general secretary, spokesperson, and central member for activities that were thought to be contrary to the party's goals. The central disciplinary commission of the party recommended that he be removed from all party posts, including ordinary membership. This judgment was made recently.
