PM Dahal calls for unity and national pride at Bagmati Province Language Act launch

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' delivered a passionate appeal for unity among oppressed classes, castes, and communities during the launch announcement of the Bagmati Province Official Language Act, 2080, and the Language Day 2081 program. He emphasized the critical need for identifying genuine representatives and ensuring the protection of rights, emphasizing that Nepal's constitutional framework, rooted in federalism, republicanism, secularism, inclusion, and proportionality, embodies the struggles and sacrifices of its people.

Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the importance of collective solidarity in finalizing the constitution, expressing confidence that through persistent efforts, remaining constitutional rights will be progressively institutionalized. He commended the Bagmati Provincial Assembly's enactment of language regulations, particularly acknowledging the provision allowing provinces to adopt additional national languages alongside Nepali.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal unveiled plans to institutionalize Nepal Sambat in official documents, reaffirming his dedication to preserving national identity and pride. He urged for the reinforcement of internal nationalism alongside the assertion of rights, hailing the occasion as a moment of pride for advocates of Nepal's sovereignty and prosperity.
