KATHMANDU: Six health post facilities have been successfully constructed throughout the wards of the Malika Rural Municipality in the Myagdi district. This building represents a significant advancement in the region's healthcare accessibility.
Every ward, with the exception of Ward No. 1, now has a new health post, indicating the rural municipality's commitment to improving healthcare for its residents. Sub-Engineer Dipak Sapkota stated that the development of these health stations was made possible by a special grant of Rs 180 million from the federal government.
The buildings were completed over the past two fiscal years and were procured through separate tender biddings, ensuring a structured approach to the construction process. This investment will contribute to better healthcare infrastructure in the rural area.
Malika Rural Municipality has a Basic Hospital in Darbang, which also acts as the municipality's headquarters, in addition to the new health posts. The goal of this combination of institutions, according to Information Officer Som Bahadur KC, is to offer the local community full healthcare services.
