NEPSE sees marginal gain of 1.27 points

KATHMANDU: On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed with a small increase of 1.27 points, ending at 2078.76 points. The whole day's transactions amounted almost up to Rs 3.5 billion which included 7,209,757 shares worth Rs 3.404 billion exchanging hands.


During the session, shares of 135 companies saw an increase in their prices, whereas 104 companies witnessed a decline. Eight companies saw no change in their share prices. The market indices also reflected this mixed performance: the Sensitive Index rose by 0.55 points, the Float Index by 0.16 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 0.23 points.


Among the sectors tracked by NEPSE, six sectors reported gains while seven sectors saw declines. Notably, the Finance sector showed the highest increase, gaining 58.87 points, while the Trading sector recorded the largest decline, dropping by 38.78 points.
