KATHMANDU: In Taplejung, a man identified as Naresh Khoyahang Limbu, aged 42 and residing in Pathibhara Yang Warak Rural Municipality-4, Dumrise, has been apprehended by the police for possession of a loaded firearm. The arrest was carried out near Pipleshwari Primary School in Dumrise, where Limbu was found in possession of a loaded gun, along with 57 grams of ammunition suitable for the firearm, one bullet-shaped object, six skewers with forks, and a khukuri.
According to DSP Ravi Rawal, Chief of the District Police Office, Taplejung, Limbu's arrest was based on these findings, and he is currently undergoing further investigation. The District Court of Taplejung has ordered a seven-day extension of Limbu's judicial custody to facilitate ongoing investigations into the matter.
