2 Indian nationals arrested in Nepal for operating unregistered manpower agency

KATHMANDU: A team from Nepal Police has apprehended two Indian nationals for allegedly defrauding individuals through an unregistered manpower recruitment agency. The arrested individuals are identified as Rabindra Rane, 24, from Mumbai, Maharashtra State, and Javed Masiha, 37, also from Mumbai.


According to Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Phuyal, the suspects operated under the name JD Manpower Agency in Ramgram Municipality-5, promising people opportunities in countries like Australia, Russia, and Italy without proper registration. They allegedly engaged in fraudulent activities by misleading people seeking overseas employment.


Following their arrest by police in Nawalparasi West, the suspects have been handed over to the Labor and Employment Office in Butwal for further legal proceedings.
