KATHMANDU: A Buddha Air aircraft from Pokhara to Kathmandu was rerouted to Bhairahawa on Wednesday morning because of bad weather at Tribhuvan International Airport. After spending almost twenty minutes circling the sky, the plane made a safe landing at Bhairahawa's Gautam Buddha Airport.
Jasoda Regmi, Information Officer at Pokhara Airport, reported that low visibility prompted the diversion to prioritize passenger safety. Additionally, Pokhara Airport is currently closed because of similar visibility problems.
In response to recent major accidents, air safety measures have been intensified to ensure safer flight operations.
