KATHMANDU: The Central Committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is currently convening in the Banasthali party office to discuss ten items on the agenda. The conference will focus a lot of discussion on the Party Discipline Commission's findings, particularly in light of Dr. Mukul Dhakal's potential removal as general secretary.
Having previously been suspended in his capacity as a central member and party spokesperson, Dr. Dhakal now faces the risk of being expelled even as a regular party member. His case is being extensively examined during the meeting; he was earlier given twenty-four hours to explain why he shouldn't be kicked out of the party.
Besides the disciplinary actions, the meeting will also address other critical issues, including contemporary political matters, party activities, preparations for the upcoming national meeting, a special campaign in Karnali, and revisions to organizational procedures.
