KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made the decision not to become a part of the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress's new alliance. The party also decided to remove itself from the existing government during a secretariat meeting today.

Santosh Pariyar, the party whip, announced after the meeting that ministers from the RSP will be recalled once the process of forming the next government commences. He emphasized that the RSP will not be part of the emerging alliance between the two major political entities.

Pariyar voiced concern that the new coalition may not be in the country's best interests and might jeopardize political stability. He questioned the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML's concentration of power inside the government, claiming that such a structure violates democratic ideals.

Pariyar also emphasized the RSP's function in advancing good governance inside the administration, implying that their stance on governance may have had an impact on their choice to distance themselves from the present political events.
