PM Oli’s Q&A session in today's HoR meeting

KATHMANDU: At today's House of Representatives (HoR) meeting, which is scheduled to start at 1 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be available for questions. During this session, Members of Parliament will ask questions in alphabetical order in compliance with Chapter 9 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, 2079.


Speaker Devraj Ghimire will address an agenda item involving the reappointment of members to various thematic committees within the HoR. This change aims to ensure effective oversight and management of parliamentary committees.


Dr. Tosima Karki is set to raise concerns with the Minister for Health and Population regarding the need for better forecasting, control, and rapid response to the growing cholera cases in the Kathmandu Valley. This highlights the urgent need for improved public health measures.


In addition, Congressman Prem Suwal will request authorization to propose the Securities (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, to the House by presenting an opposition notice. Bishnu Prasad Paudel, the finance minister and deputy prime minister, will also introduce the measure. The Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance Bill, 2080, which Finance Minister Paudel is expected to introduce, will also be discussed.
