KATHMANDU: The faction of the Nepali Congress led by Shekhar Koirala and General Secretary Gagan Thapa has formally requested four ministerial positions from the total ministerial allocations designated for the party. This demand was articulated during a meeting held at Bishalnagar on Sunday, where discussions centered on selecting candidates to represent the Nepali Congress in the Cabinet led by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.
Key figures present at the meeting included Vice President Dhanraj Gurung, Gagan Thapa, Badri Pandey, Jeevan Pariyar, Arjun Narsingh KC, Dr. Minendra Rijal, Dilendra Prasad Badu, and Dr. Chandra Bhandari. The Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have entered into an alliance aimed at forming a new government, encompassing power-sharing arrangements from the central to the federal levels.
