KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party has announced the immediate suspension of its secretary, Bishweshwar Prasad Sah (BP), and six other central members. The party made this announcement through a press statement on Wednesday. Anita Kumari Mandal, member secretary of the party’s Central Discipline Department, confirmed the suspension of Central Member Rameshwar Yadav alongside Sah.
The other suspended members include Krishna Chandra Sah, municipal secretary of Mirchaiya Municipality; former Municipal Secretary Deep Narayan Sah; student leader Arvind Sah; general member Dhiraj Kamati; and ward candidate Anita Kumari Yadav. This decision was made during a meeting of the Central Discipline Committee at the Central Contact Office in Mid-Baneshwor on July 4.
The suspensions, which will last three months, came after an internal investigation found these members guilty of actions that violated the party’s policies and statute. Mandal stated that the suspensions were necessary to maintain party discipline and uphold its principles.
