KATHMANDU: Without any opposition, Ishwori Devi Neupane was elected to lead the Parliamentary Hearing Committee. The sole candidate for the post was Neupane, a member of the Nepali Congress, and the election was held during the committee meeting on Wednesday.
As the sole nominee, Neupane was declared the winner by the senior committee member. She is set to be formally sworn in by Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire later today.
