KATHMANDU: Achyut Prasad Mainali, a CPN-UML member of the House of Representatives (HoR), has demanded Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to resign. Mainali brought out Lamichhane's purported inability to handle recent natural disasters including landslides, floods, and inundations as well as the lack of an all-encompassing plan to deal with these catastrophes.
During an emergency session of the HoR, Mainali highlighted that these disasters have claimed the lives of 67 people in the span of one month. He also advocated for free medical treatment for those injured in these tragic events.
