A safety warning has been sent to Nepalis living in Bangladesh by the Nepali Embassy in Dhaka due to the continuous disturbance. Published on Monday, the alert advises citizens of Nepal to stay safe where they are and to contact the embassy for help if they need to be repatriated. Since many have already left for their native country of Nepal, the embassy estimates that only 400 Nepalis remain in Bangladesh.

The embassy's notice highlights the increased violence and indefinite curfew imposed by the Bangladeshi government due to protests over quota issues. It advises all Nepalis to exercise maximum caution and stay secure in their current locations. The embassy is maintaining regular contact with the Nepalis in Bangladesh to provide necessary support.

This advisory follows the resignation and departure of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina amid severe violence, marking some of the worst unrest the country has experienced in decades. The embassy has requested those wishing to return to Nepal to coordinate with them and ensure their safety before traveling.
