KATHMANDU: Today marks the commencement of the 27th general convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'. The event has drawn participation from National Council members representing various chapters of the FNJ from across the country.
In conjunction with the general convention, FNJ organized a morning procession to commemorate World Press Freedom Day. The rally, initiated by FNJ, commenced from Ratnapark Shantibatika and concluded at the National City Hall, the designated venue for the 27th General Convention.
The morning rally saw the active participation of FNJ President Bipul Pokharel, along with office-bearers, former presidents, and journalists representing diverse media outlets. Additionally, members and representatives from organizations such as Nepal Press Union, Press Chautari Nepal, Press Centre Nepal, and Socialist Press Organisation also joined the procession in solidarity.
