KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has announced plans for a special program aimed at enhancing production and generating job opportunities through the upcoming fiscal year's policy, program, and budget.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the 'signature bridge' over the Narayani River, PM Prachanda highlighted the government's efforts to initiate integrated projects focused on employment and productivity. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure development, rural economic empowerment, production growth, and employment generation as national priorities.
PM Prachanda underscored the government's commitment to ensuring the quality and sustainability of road networks nationwide. He outlined plans to introduce reforms in infrastructure, vehicles, and traffic systems to improve transport services and reduce road accidents. Additionally, he stressed the importance of implementing projects based on evidence-based study and analysis, fostering a positive narrative of the country's capability to execute projects effectively.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Nepal's progress in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, health, communications, drinking water, electrification, and social security. He mentioned ongoing infrastructure projects, such as the construction of bridges by the Department of Roads and the breakthrough in the Nagdhunga road section tunnel. PM Prachanda expressed optimism that these developments, along with other transformative projects, would contribute to Nepal's transition to a developing country by 2026.
