KATHMANDU: A serious accident involving a Bolero jeep occurred this morning in Changkheli Rural Municipality, Humla, resulting in five individuals sustaining severe injuries. The jeep, traveling from Garkha to Deuli Bazar, veered off the Mugu road in Gaurisalla, falling 150 meters off the road while negotiating a turn.
Police Inspector Narendra Chand of the District Police Office reported that there were seven people in the vehicle, including the driver. Among the injured, Surendra Shahi, Til Bahadur Shahi, Rabin Shahi, Prithvi Rawat, and Ramesh Malla were seriously hurt, while two others, including the driver Mahendra Bikram Shah and Mayadevi Shahi, sustained minor injuries.
A rescue operation was promptly carried out by a seven-member team led by Assistant Sub Inspector Balkrishna Khand from Mimi Police Station, who quickly responded to the scene to assist the injured.
