KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a notice urging dance bars, musical evening venues, and nightclubs to settle their entertainment tax dues within 35 days. Despite multiple reminders via written notices, phone calls, and verbal notifications, these establishments have reportedly failed to fulfill their tax obligations as mandated by the Bagmati Province Finance Act of 2080 BS.

KMC has stressed in the notice that in the event that the tax payment deadline is missed, legal action pursuant to Section 21 of the Finance Act, 2080 BS, would be taken. This move demonstrates the municipality's will to uphold tax laws and guarantee that companies falling within its purview comply with them.
