KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel met with Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri today during his official visit to Kathmandu. The visit was arranged at the invitation of Nepal's Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal. Enhancing bilateral relations and encouraging mutual cooperation between the two nations was the aim of the Sita Niwas summit.
President Paudel emphasized the shared civilizational and cultural links between Nepal and India as well as the significance of their collaboration in combating climate change. He conveyed his belief that during Secretary Misri's leadership, these connections would become even stronger.
Secretary Misri responded by committing to work closely with Nepal on climate change mitigation and emphasized India’s readiness to collaborate in key areas such as energy, agriculture, and tourism.
