KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has ordered the initiation of a campaign to rescue the people trapped by the calamities and monitor the distribution of relief items. Speaking to the media he said today he is greatly saddened by the loss of lives and property through floods, landslides, and other natural disasters in different parts of the country.
PM Dahal stressed that adequate measures are being taken to reduce the effects and hazards presented by the continuing floods and landslides. He urged civil society organizations and political parties to work together closely to rescue victims and provide critical humanitarian assistance.
PM Dahal also advocated more attention and proactive efforts to reduce the dangers connected with natural catastrophes, asking everyone to be vigilant and attentive to the changing situation.
