KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army's deployment during the April 27 by-elections has been approved by President Ramchandra Paudel. Sailaja Regmi Bhattarai, spokesperson for the President's Office, confirmed that the President granted permission for the mobilization of the Nepali Army for the by-elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly. The decision was made in accordance with Article 66(2) following recommendations from the National Security Council and the Council of Ministers on April 22.
