PM Dahal vows diplomatic push to bring Nepali soldiers home from Russian army

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has declared his intention to lead diplomatic initiatives aimed at bringing back Nepali citizens currently serving in the Russian army.

During a meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar with representatives advocating for the safety of Nepali nationals in the Russian Army, Prime Minister Dahal assured his full commitment to ensuring the safe return of Nepali nationals currently deployed in Russia.

Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that the Prime Minister's Office is fully dedicated to meeting the demands of the representatives and assured them that continuous diplomatic efforts are being pursued through various channels.

Expressing the government's unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nepali citizens abroad, Prime Minister Dahal reiterated his determination to address the concerns of families with relatives serving in the Russian Army. He underscored the implementation of high-level diplomatic strategies, including his personal involvement in intensifying efforts.

Additionally, Prime Minister Dahal revealed that he had maintained direct communication with Nepali nationals stationed in conflict zones, highlighting ongoing discussions through diplomatic channels to monitor their well-being and ensure necessary assistance. As a result of the government's assurances, families of Nepali nationals serving in the Russian army temporarily suspended their sit-in protest in Kathmandu, acknowledging the government's commitment to address their grievances.
