KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has emphasized the government's dedication to accelerating the nation's economic transformation by fostering a supportive environment for investors, including industrialists and business communities. Speaking at the inauguration of the Hyundai Motor Assembling Plant of Laxmi Motor Corporation in Nawalparasi, PM Dahal underscored the importance of economic development in propelling the country towards prosperity.

He highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in strengthening the economy, emphasizing that collaboration between the state and private enterprises is essential for robust economic growth. PM Dahal reaffirmed the government's commitment to facilitating investment and creating a conducive climate for private sector engagement, citing it as vital for enhancing productivity and generating employment opportunities.

PM Dahal expressed optimism that the operation of the new industry would attract both domestic and foreign investors, leading to import substitution and job creation for hundreds of skilled and semi-skilled workers. He noted that domestic motor assembly would not only offer vehicles at fair prices but also contribute positively to resource consumption, local development, and GDP growth.

Furthermore, PM Dahal advocated for fiscal and monetary policies that promote production and employment rather than restrict them. He highlighted recent government initiatives, including amendments to key laws and ordinances, aimed at addressing investment sector challenges and fostering both internal and external investment.

Reflecting on the success of the Third Investment Summit and the collective commitment of political parties, PM Dahal expressed confidence in Nepal's prospects as an attractive investment destination. He emphasized the need for sustained efforts and collaboration to capitalize on the momentum and realize Nepal's potential as an investment-friendly nation.
