KATHMANDU: Three children from the same family have tragically died of food poisoning in Simraungadh, Bara. The victims, identified as Lalima (9), Pushpa (7), and Krishna Nandan Ram (5), all suffered from severe symptoms including stomach ache, vomiting, and diarrhea after consuming fish and rice on Sunday night.
The fish, reportedly sourced from a pond near their home, led to their illness. After showing symptoms, the children were initially taken to Simraungadh Health Clinic and later transferred to Kalaiya Provincial Hospital. Unfortunately, Lalima passed away en route to the hospital, while Pushpa and Krishna Nandan died during treatment.
The deceased were taken to Kalaiya Hospital for a postmortem before being returned to the families on Monday. Police are looking into the matter further since they think the fish is to blame for the foodborne disease.
