KATHMANDU: Six-year-old girl dies after a horrible snake-biting incident in Dang, leaving her mother gravely injured. On Wednesday, at approximately one in the morning, Indu Chaudhary was bitten by a rattlesnake in Guruwagaun, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-6. Indu was brought to Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS) where she passed away at five in the morning after receiving treatment from a traditional healer, but her condition worsened.
Indu's mother, Ashma Chaudhary, 25, who was also bitten by the snake on her left hand, is in critical condition and receiving treatment at RAHS. Both mother and daughter were bitten while they were asleep. The situation has drawn attention due to the severity of the bites and the subsequent tragic outcomes.
The event has been reported to the District Police Office in Dang, and steps are being taken to offer the required assistance and medical attention. While the matter is being addressed by the community and local authorities, it is made clear that the area needs adequate steps to prevent future snakebite incidences.
