KATHMANDU: Police have recovered the body of one of the two girls who went missing while bathing in the Mahakali River at Gadamukh Kushmauta, Shivanath Rural Municipality-1, Baitadi.
The missing girls, Rajani Chad, 13, and Ashmita Chad, 12, both residents of Swala in Shivanath Rural Municipality, were reported missing after they went into the river.
A team from the Armed Police Force (APF) deployed from the Nepal Border Outpost (BOP) in Kushmauta discovered the body of Rajani Chad.
Sailendra Thapa, co-spokesperson for the APF, stated that search efforts are ongoing to locate the second missing girl, Ashmita Chad.
