KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office, operating under the Prime Minister’s Office, has taken action against 19 construction companies from various districts by placing them on its blacklist. This decision announced on Tuesday through an official notification, comes as a result of prolonged delays in completing their respective construction projects.
The warning states that these businesses have been placed on a six- to two-year-long blacklist as a result of their inability to fulfill project deadlines. The choice was made in response to suggestions made by many agencies, which expressed worries about ongoing delays that were impeding the project's advancement.
Among the companies blacklisted are Amar-Udaya Sagar JV from Kalimati, Uday Sagar Nirman Sewa from Kailali, and Shree Shobha Builders and Suppliers (P) Ltd from Bhaktapur. Also included are Shree Western Development Construction from Bajura, Shree Suprabhat Nirman Sewa from Banke, and Shree Samridhi Yeshaswo Construction from New Baneswor. Shree Deuto Construction P. Ltd from Surkhet, Shree Rajdhani Construction from Sinamangal, and Shree New Kalika Nirman Sewa from Bajhang are also on the list.
Additionally, the blacklisted companies include Shree Yusab Construction from Dadeldhura, Shree Bhuma Nirman Sewa from Dang, and Shree Tulso Construction and Suppliers from Doti. Aattreya Nirman Sewa (P) Ltd from Sindhuli, Shivako Construction P. Ltd from Kathmandu, Basnet Nirman Sewa from Kathmandu, and Budhathoki Construction P. Ltd from Salyan are among the others facing blacklisting.
