KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has cut both the policy and bank rate under its monetary policy for the fiscal year 2081/82. Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari unveiled the new policy on Friday at an event in Baluwatar.
NRB has cut the policy rate from 5.5 percent to 5 percent and reduced the bank rate from 7 percent to 6.5 percent. The bank is trying to help the weak construction sector and revive economic activity through these changes.
