KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index dropped 20.46 points, or 0.76 percent, from the close of the previous day to 2,661.09 points at the end of today's trading session. This decline follows a session in which the index saw a notable increase of 113.42 points.
The index opened the trading day at 2,706.73 points and underwent significant swings during the course of the day. It reached a height of 2,737.68 points before closing at the final amount, and it subsequently fell to 2,655.15 points.
Today, 222,660 transactions involving 325 stocks totaled 47,790,837 shares in volume. With a total of Rs. 19.6 billion in turnover, it was the fourth-highest in NEPSE history.
