KATHMANDU: A young man lost his life after leaping from a one-story rehabilitation center building in Kailali. The deceased, identified as Sunil Shahi, aged 25, was a resident of the New Way Rehabilitation Center located in GhodaGhodi Municipality-4, Bhaluphata. Reports from the District Police Office in Kailali reveal that Shahi took the fatal plunge from the roof of the single-story building at approximately 3:30 AM on Wednesday.
DSP Kabindra Bohora of the Kailali District Police Office disclosed that Shahi sustained severe injuries upon impact and succumbed while being transported to the hospital for medical attention. The injuries inflicted by the fall were observed on his forehead, neck, waist, and both hands. Authorities suspect that Shahi may have been attempting to flee from the rehabilitation center by resorting to such a drastic measure.
An ongoing investigation is underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding Shahi's untimely demise, as confirmed by the Kailali police. In response to the tragedy, Shahi's family has urged for a comprehensive inquiry, expressing doubts regarding the events leading to his tragic death.
