KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) recently carried out a raid on a hotel located in Thamel, suspecting its involvement in illegal money transactions known as 'hundi'. Sources suggest that the hotel was being managed by individuals of Chinese nationality.

Although spokesman Hobindra Bogati confirmed the occurrence of the raid, he refrained from disclosing the name of the hotel involved. According to SP Bogati, the raid was initiated based on intelligence indicating potential hundi activities taking place within the premises. As a result of the operation, three individuals have been apprehended, and investigations are currently underway.
